Get ahead, stay ahead

Worried that your child is not on course for the grades they need this year?

Mock exams are coming. No sooner is Christmas over than – yup – there they are. It’s never too early to start getting ready for exams. The longer our kids ignore the ticking clock, the harder it is for them to get started and make meaningful progress.

The temptation is to wait for mocks to happen. We’re tired after Christmas and we don’t want to have an argument. If the exams are going to be a car crash, hey ho. Maybe the shock of poor mock results will galvanise our demotivated children into working hard for June. Some kids do indeed respond this way, but even so they are often frustrated: ‘If studying hard for a couple of months got me a 6, I wish I’d started sooner. I might have done really well.’

Sometimes terrible mock results have a stultifying effect: ‘There is too much for me to do. I can’t cope. I’m not going to try. If I don’t try, I haven’t really failed, have I?’

This kind of psychological minefield is hard for a parent to rationalise away.

Bite the bullet. Eat the frog. Hire a tutor.

Our tutors are all GREAT. Each is a subject specialist and top of their game, with experience and testimonials aplenty. It’s so much easier for us to guide your child and help them make a plan. We’ve done it before. And the sooner they get the guidance they need, the better.

Make a good fist of mocks, and the June exams will hold less fear. Your child will get the grades they deserve.

Get ahead, stay ahead.
